Welsh sampler / Sampler Cymreig

A 19th century Welsh wool sampler which is in excellent condition and retains unusual bright colours in  original frame. Embroidered with a Welsh language text: Gwyn eu byd y rhai pur o galon Canys hwy a welant Dduw lll v 8. Worked by “Catherine Rees, her work the 17th year of her aged 1884”.
