A wonderful 18th century Welsh oak panelled back settle, with the original sledge feet. The reverse is well made and finished which suggests that this settle stood in the centre of the room facing the hearth and with its back to the cottage or farmhouse door.

It is made from beautifully figured oak and has the best surface and untouched colour.

Cardiganshire late 18th century.
