A wonderful and rare Welsh oak chest on stand. The chest has a raised panelled top and front. The top front panel is inlaid with sycamore initials, which possibly commemorate a marriage. The interior has a candle tray and a secret compartment. The base has a large and two smaller drawers, with well shaped front cabriole legs which are carved with hoof shaped feet.
Made from oak throughout and with beautiful colour and patina.
