Folk art brass fireside footman /Trybedd i’r pentan
This footman is made from an old sign from the Ynysarwed Colliery, Neath Valley South Wales. The name of the colliery is partially visible on the underside.
Brass footmans and similar items of folk art such as
trivets and mantel ornaments were often made from
waste metal and brass in the colliery workshops.
